What a feeling to complete something like this! When I first learned about 80 Day Obsession I was thinking to myself "No way! I am such a free spirit... there is no way I can follow something this structured!" But here is what I found! First off, if I am such a free spirit, who am I to tell myself I can't do something?! So, I committed. Then the crazy part happened: It.was.easy!
What seemed so scary and big and complex at first ended up being absolutely doable once I stopped fighting myself over it! Once I allowed myself to just DO and not overthink it. The plan is laid out, there is no guesswork, I run everything else in my life but with 80 Day Obsession I just handed over the reigns and did as I was told and it took a HUGE burden off my shoulders. It was that one thing that I didn't have to worry about.
It was so awesome to see how fast your body adapts when you challenge it and treat it right.
In these 4 short weeks (they FLEW by) I I noticed the following changes:
- I have gotten way stronger
- I upped my weights
- My skin got better
- lost 8 pounds
- build some solid muscle!
- saved *drumrollplease* 213.51$ by eating according to plan. (Yes, I got an app and documented every time I would have for sure grabbed that thing at the gas station, ordered that pizza, or would have gotten that little nicknack at the grocery store). Over 200!!! How freaking crazy is that? Mind you, we are not a family that eats out so I can only imagine what those savings would look like if we did....
- been feeling overall pretty badass
- have grown amazing connections with my fellow 80DO crushers!
Matter of fact, the group I am in for this has made all the difference to me. My newsfeed is literally swamped with people on the same journey, doing the same thing and I LOVE IT!! Talk about being obsessed. What BETTER thing to be obsessed about than your health?! They have inspired, motivated and dropped that real talk along the way which made the last 4 weeks fun, emotional at times and downright kickass. Something about being surrounded by people with the same goals and drive... it pulls you! You just have to allow yourself to commit, then let go, and go with the flow of your fellow goal crushers!

So here I was having said out loud that I will be a participant in this test group for our new program 80 Day Obsession. You wouldn't BELIEVE the emotions I went through up until now. From "Meh, sure... I will do some of the workouts and eat some of the right foods" over "Hold up! I have people who are looking up to me and I really need to give this a good run" to "Holy shit! I am going to do this 100% and now I am scared". YUP! I once I decided I will be going all in and made that commitment to myself, that I KNOW it takes to get the results I want... I was scared. My brain went into panic mode and tried to weasel it"s way out of it. "OK, so we are doing this BUT let's like, do it our way. Shift things around, swap stuff out, plan for cheat days!" And then MAMA BEAR showed up. The creator of the program and as she spoke to the participants of the group it was clear, I wasn't alone! Her words stuck with me, "You can do this YOUR way, and get YOUR results *coughcoughImayhaveafresh20tolosebecauseofmywaycough* OR you can do it MY way and you will get the results that I.CAN.GUARANTEE. During that chat with her Autumn Calabrese I decided that it is time to practice some inner voice discipline. I often preach that growth happens outside of our comfort zone, yet here I was clinging onto mine like I haven't in a long time. SO.... it was time to let it go, trust the process, and face a challenge! When is the last time you set a HUGE goal and crushed it? Feels amazing doesn't it?
And that is EXACTLY what I will be doing over the next 80 days.
